Empowering Future Leaders Through Innovative Learning
Welcome to our FET Centre, where students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 embark on an enriching educational journey. Here, we integrate cutting-edge computer‑based lessons to offer maximum flexibility and ease of learning, providing students with the essential tools to excel academically and personally. Complementing this, our qualified subject teachers deliver expert‑led classes for targeted support and enhanced learning, ensuring every student receives the guidance they need to thrive.
FET: Where skills meet opportunity, and South Africa’s future is built – one learner at a time.
Rigorous Academic Program with Flexible Subject Choices
CAPS guidelines mandate seven subjects: a Home Language (e.g., English or Afrikaans), a First Additional Language, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, Life Orientation, and three electives. Students select from streams like Sciences (Physical Sciences, Life Sciences), Commerce (Accounting, Business Studies, Economics), or Humanities (History, Geography), allowing specialization based on career aspirations—such as medicine, engineering, or entrepreneurship.
Holistic Student Development and Leadership Programs
Beyond academics, FET emphasizes character building through exclusive initiatives like the Leadership Camp, which cultivates skills in public speaking, team collaboration, and servant leadership—rooted in biblical examples.
Life Skills and Personal and Social Well-being components address emotional intelligence, mental health, and relationship dynamics from a Christian ethic, preparing teens for real-world challenges.
This focus yields graduates who are not just knowledgeable but empathetic and principled, often excelling in university transitions due to the program’s career-oriented rigor.
Flexible Learning with Computer-Based Lessons
At our FET Centre, we leverage advanced computer-based lessons to ensure flexible learning experiences. This approach allows students to engage with course material at their own pace, access diverse resources, and receive tailored support.
Complementing this, our qualified teachers lead hands‑on, in‑class instruction—delivering subject content, facilitating practicals and small‑group workshops, and providing real‑time feedback that reinforces and extends online learning.
Our digital learning platform supports a wide range of subjects and skill sets, while our classroom teaching ensures concepts are mastered, misconceptions are addressed promptly, and each learner stays on track through continuous guidance and assessment.
Extracurricular and Co-Curricular Enrichment
Cresta College actively nurtures extracurricular passions beyond the school gates, balancing intellectual pursuits with physical and creative expression. While our on‑campus programs build discipline and teamwork, we also encourage learners to train and compete with external clubs and federations—supporting flexible schedules, academic catch‑up, and recognition for achievements.
Many of our students play soccer with local clubs (with some representing at international fixtures), and we are proud of our high‑level swimmers, figure skaters, rugby players, and soccer players who excel on provincial, national, and global stages. Cultural pathways flourish too, with drama, music, and debate opportunities—often infused with faith elements—extending into community ensembles, studios, and leagues.
Service remains central: outreach projects aligned with Christian values of compassion and justice cultivate character and leadership. Together, these opportunities strengthen university applications and personal portfolios, fostering lifelong habits of excellence, service, and wellness.
