ACADEMICS
Foundation Phase
Grades R, 1, 2, and 3
At Cresta College, our Foundation Phase programme provides a strong academic foundation by building essential skills, concepts, and knowledge for future success.
We celebrate each child’s uniqueness while focusing on their cognitive, social, and motor development.
During this phase, students engage in practical activities tailored to their developmental stage, allowing them to learn how things work through hands-on experiences.
“In the early years, we plant the seeds of curiosity, courage, and kindness – growing confident South African children, ready to shape tomorrow.”
Nurturing Identity and Building Relationships in the Foundation Phase
In the Foundation Phase, each child actively explores their identity and forms meaningful relationships with peers and adults.
Through diverse activities and interactions, they gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
As a result, our nurturing environment fosters their self-esteem and promotes the development of strong personal moral values.
With ongoing support and guidance, children learn to navigate social dynamics and internalize positive traits, essential for their growth and success both inside and outside the classroom.
